The buses left at 7h45 this morning (27 November), as we had one absentee that needed to be confirmed. Smiles and laughter all round. Estimated travel time is 2 hours.

Arrived safely at camp. Beautiful surroundings. Quite rustic camp facilities. Children very excited and off loading.

The kids are having such a wonderful time – they have had a swim and lunch and are off to the Old Mill for some Line Sports.

Just had dinner and dessert. Rea got a small injury from a screw on her bed. All taken care of. It’s been raining since 16h00 but still having fun.

Children are having breakfast. Got through the night fine. There was a bit of an issue in the one dorm as the girls found a scorpion! All worked out fine though. Going to play flag games in a bit.

Kids spent the morning in a swimming gala. Having lunch now. Having fun.

Children spent the afternoon playing “Capture the Flag”. The rain started up again just as they sat down to dinner. Megan and Kyla got quite sunburnt but we’ve been putting aloe and aftersun on them.

Children had a peaceful night and are enjoying breakfast now. We’ll be spending today on a hike and a picnic!

Children spent a while catching crabs before their picnic. They have games scheduled for this afternoon.

Everyone is enjoying themselves. Some Grade 5s get a little homesick at times, but we pull them though.

We’re having breakfast then the children will see a reptile demonstration. We’re still set to depart at 11h30 so arrival between 13h00 and 14h00. The children will get a hotdog and can buy tuck before departure.
